Guðjón has a significant experience as a landscaper. His projects are not only all around Iceland but you also might stumble upon his works in Denmark, Greenland, Germany and USA. He has worked with all existing types of the traditional Nordic turf-walls. The types are called; Klambra, Snidda and Strengur.
He has worked with many different types of stone walls and sculptures, and has a flair for proportions and details.
Guðjón has, together with his brother, Benjamín Kristinsson, developed the work of constructing the stone wall. The concept of that work is that each stone is locked with the next one. This method has proved useful, as their stone walls stood intact after the great earthquake in 2000.
Guðjón is greatly interested in the traditional Scandinavian crafts and carpentry. He carves all sorts of sculptures from wax, wood and bones and has his own rough but beautiful style. Each sculpture tells its own story in a highly creative way. Based on these competencies, Guðjón has performed numerous playgrounds, and recreational areas, where creativity is at an essence.
