Guðmundur Hrafn is experienced in working with the traditional Nordic materials; stone, turf and wood. He has worked with Guðjón Kristinsson for years and has been involved in a number of landscaping projects. He prior had his own contracting business concentrating on urban landscape and garden design.

Guðmundur now works freelance, designing public areas, nature playgrounds and areas for out-door teaching. He is very passionate about involving people around him and having them participate.  Using that as a method, Guðmundur has accomplished some fascinating projects, characterized by a joyful design and creativity.

He occasionally works as a project leader in volunteer projects across Iceland, also he gives lectures and seminars across Europe. He recently established the firm Cursus Iceland, which concentrates on landscape qualities and outdoor educational facilities.
